FLORAL SHOPPE (フローラルの専門店, Furōraru no Senmon-ten) is the fifteenth studio album by American electronic musician Vektroid, released under her one-time alias Macintosh Plus (MACプラス) on December 9th, 2011, via BEER ON THE RUG. The album is widely recognized as one of the first vaporwave albums. The album's second track 'リサフランク420 / 現代のコンピュー' (english title: Lisa Frank 420 / Modern Computing. often shortened to '420,' 'Macintosh 420,' and 'Macintosh Plus.') has become synonymous with the vaporwave genre and is considered one of Vektroid's signature songs. The track features the Diana Ross song 'It's Your Move' slowed, chopped up and distored. In August of 2017 it was announced that New York-based record label Olde English Spelling Bee would press the album onto vinyl. It follows the cassette version of the tracklist and is pressed onto "bubblegum" pink vinyl.

Trivia[]

  • The album cover includes an edited photograph of a bust of Helios, the Greek god of the sun.
  • A remastered version of the album was released in 2016, with small changes made. The album was taken down for an unknown reason in early 2018. • A fanmade remaster was made in November 2018, which was taken down on February 2019, possibly due to copyright issues.
