Description[]
Coming out of nowhere with OST (1).rar last year, which was met with a large amount of praise from followers of Dream Catalogue, R23X went on to cement himself this year as one of the top stars of the growing vaporwave movement with his own brand of abstract, glitched out vgm-infused trip hop - first with OSV: Original Sound Version on DC again, followed by サウンド - ＲＰＧ on Gentle Records.
Now he is back with us for his final album of the year, and what is his most ambitious to date capping in at around the 40 minute mark, with SOUND_TRACK ~ [MP3].torrent. The album sounds like a cross between OST and OSV, a realisation of his past year and a half developing his concept and pushing the boat out further with more detuned ambient textures as was found on OSV, but bringing it back around with more of the VHS-saturated glitch-hop jams found on OST.
Along with this new album, we are also presenting a one-time super limited run of OST and OSV on one double-A-sided cassette, which can be purchased along with SOUND_TRACK. These are limited to 50 copies.
The cassette is a white shell. Professionally recorded in real time on high quality Nakamichi tape decks. Comes in clear case with full colour cassette labels and double-sided full colour printed J-cards. Limited edition of 150.
